How do I enroll in Mobile Banking?

Enrollment is completed through the Options menu in Online Banking. You will receive text messages that may contain links for you to activate the service you are enrolling in.

What Online Banking features can I use through Mobile Banking?

Most features available through Online Banking will be available in Mobile Banking. You can view your accounts, make transfers, pay bills and find your local Federal Savings Bank Branch or ATM. eStatements are not available through Mobile Banking.

What should I do if my mobile device is lost or stolen?

If during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, contact the eBanking team at (603)-742-4680. If it is outside normal business hours, log into Online Banking, go to the My Options tab and select the stop using this phone under the Manage My Device section.

FSB Mobile Banking

With FSB Mobile Banking, you can check account balances, deposit checks, transfer funds, pay bills or find an FSB ATM--all from your handheld mobile device.

FSB Mobile Banking is a free* service for FSB Online Banking customers. To enroll, simply log into FSB Online Banking and follow the steps to enroll in Mobile Banking.

The FSB Mobile Banking Enrollment Process

vault1. Select "Enroll Now" on the Mobile Banking welcome page.

  • Terms and Conditions for Mobile Banking will appear. You will need to read the terms and Conditions and select the box that reads "I accept these Terms and Conditions". Select "Continue" to move forward.

2. Select the Mobile Banking service you wish to utlilize.

  • There are three options to choose from: 1) Mobile Application; 2) Mobile Browser; and 3) Mobile Text Messaging. We suggest only enrolling in one service at a time. Once you have chosen which Mobile Banking service you will be using, select "Continue" on the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

How does Mobile Deposit work?

Mobile Deposit requires a smart phone and the use of the Federal Savings Bank Mobile App. Once you have signed into to Mobile Banking you will select the deposits icon that appears on your screen. From there you will key in the amount of the deposit, take a photo of the front and back of the check and submit. Within seconds of uploading the transaction you will receive a confirmation that the deposit was received successfully.

How secure is Mobile Deposit?

Mobile Deposit is very secure, it features multiple layers of security, giving your account and check data the highest level of safety available.

What types of checks can be deposited through Mobile Deposit?

We can accept checks payable to you or to you and another account owner drawn on a U.S. bank. We can’t accept checks payable to a non-account owner, traveler cheques, foreign checks, substitute checks, savings bonds, returned checks, posted dated checks, state dated checks, or checks with poor image quality.

How do I endorse my check for Mobile Deposit?

Checks should be endorsed by all parties of the check and can only be deposited if the payee is an account holder. You are required to include “For Mobile Deposit Only” as part of your endorsement.

When can I make a mobile deposit to Federal Savings Bank?

You can transmit mobile deposits to Federal Savings Bank 24-hours a day, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays, with the exception of our routine maintenance downtime.

When will deposits be credited to my account?

Deposits received before 5:00 pm ET on a business* day will be considered to be deposited that same day. Deposits received after 5:00 pm ET or on a weekend or holiday will be considered as deposited the next business* day. Please note: All deposits are subject to verification and can be adjusted upon review.

What is considered a business day?

A business day is any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or federally declared holiday.

Can I deposit a check for any amount?

You can deposit up to $2,500 per business* day for an established account. Accounts opened for less than 60 days will have a $1,000 per business* day limit. (If the account has had no overdraft activity for the first 60 days of account opening the limit will automatically be increased to $2,500). Deposits made after 5:00 pm ET on Friday, over the weekend or on a holiday are combined with the deposits for the next business day and limited to the $2,500 daily limit.

How many checks can I deposit?

You can make as many deposits as you would like per business day but you can’t exceed the dollar amount of your daily limit.

What should I do with the original paper check after the deposit has been made?

Once you see the deposit has been credited to your account you should shred the check. Please note that you will have access to any check you deposit through your deposit history for 45 days. .

What type of account can I deposit to?

Currently you can only make a deposit to checking accounts.

Mobile Deposit

Mobile Deposit is available through our Mobile Banking App. The mobile deposit feature allows you to make a check deposit via Mobile Banking, by photographing the front and back of the check with your iPhone or Android mobile phone and submitting that image for deposit to your account.

app homeIf you are an existing customer you can deposit up to $2,500 per business* day. For new customers, you can deposit up to $1,000 per business* day for the first 60 days of the account opening. If the account is in good standing (no overdrafts) after the 60 days, we will automatically increase your daily limit to $2,500.

Deposits received before 5:00 pm ET on a business day are reviewed by a member of the Federal Savings Bank eBanking staff and credited to your account during our nightly processing. (Deposits received after 5:00 pm ET on a business day, over the weekend or on a holiday are considered to be deposited the next business* day.)

*Business Day - A business day is any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or federally declared holiday

Access mobile banking via Federal Savings Bank's downloaded application using your iPhone or Android device

  1. log inLog onto Mobiliti with your online banking credentials.
    • Mobility leverages the OLB login authentication rules (password, challenge questions, picture).
  2. selectSelect Deposits from the menu
  3. Select New Deposit

    The Deposits menu becomes available.
    Note: If the Deposits menu item is not displayed, then you are not eligible for mobile deposit

  4. select2Select the checking account to deposit funds
  5. Enter the deposit amount of the check
  6. Select Continue
  7. picsYou will be prompted to take a picture of the front and back of the check.

    After each image is taken, select Use Photo to send the image or Retake.

    The images are validated to ensure image quality and to validate that the back of the check has been endorsed.

    Please be sure you write the additional endorsement requirement of For Mobile Deposit Only

sendingReal time tests are performed to:

  • Verify it has not been deposited before via phone
  • Read hand or machine printed amount from image
  • Compare amount read from image to amount entered
  • Verify the check amount doesn’t exceed the defined daily limit

checkmarkNote. A number of other real time tests are performed to verify the check is not foreign, previously returned unpaid, a savings bond, a duplicate check, can be read clearly and doesn’t exceed deposit limits defined by Federal Savings Bank.

Submit a Deposit

submitOnce the image is sent you will be prompted to confirm deposit amount.

Deposit Pending

pendingIf the deposit passes all the real time tests, it is sent to Federal Savings Bank for approval. The deposit will show as Pending upon submission.

View Deposit History

The history reflects the status of the check capture, not the posting of the check to your account. Check images captured on your mobile device are available for 45 days.

checkmarkIf you try to access check images from your deposit history after more than 45 days, you will receive an error.

checkmarkFor various reasons, a check can be rejected after it was "accepted" by the mobile deposit system. You must check your account history to confirmt he check deposit was posted.

Error Processing

Deposits can fail real time as the deposit is submitted or they can fail during processing.

If an error is encountered that causes the item to fail during submission, you will be notified of the error immediately and may be given the option to retake the image.

  • Currently all deposits processed through mobile capture are reviewed by bank personnel before the deposit is updated to an Accepted status on the Deposit History screen. If the deposit is rejected, the deposit will show as a Reject status on the Deposit History screen.

Tips on using Mobile Check Deposit

  • Before logging into the Mobile Deposit app, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone.
  • Sign/Endorse the back of your check, and label it “For Mobile Deposit Only.”
  • When prompted for the amount, carefully enter the check amount to ensure it matches the amount written on your check.
  • Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
  • Keep the check within the view finder on the camera screen when capturing your photos.
  • Try not to get too much of the areas surrounding the check.
  • Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area.
  • Place the check on solid dark background before taking the photo of it.
  • Keep your phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photos.
  • Hold the camera as square to the check as possible to reduce corner to corner skew.
  • Make sure that the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit.
  • No shadows across the check
  • All four corners are visible
  • Check is not blurry
  • The MICR line (numbers on the bottom of your check) is readable.

Relay for Life

Federal Savings Bank employees volunteer every year to participate in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Walk. Over the last few years, FSB employees have raised over $15,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Day of Caring

For over 10 years, Federal Savings Bank has participated in the United Way's Day of Caring. A group of FSB employees volunteer to help work at a deserving non-profit organization for a day. Here, a group of FSB employees help do yard work at a youth camp in Strafford.

United Way

Each year, Federal Savings Bank employees volunteer to produce an internal campaign to raise funds for the United Way. The staff picks a theme, prepares a breakfast and holds several fundraising activities throughout the year.

Spirit of the Seacoast

Federal Savings Bank partners with Seacoast Media Group and The United Way to produce the annual Spirit of the Seacoast awards. Federal Savings Bank employees serve on the committee that selects deserving volunteers in the community to receive special recognition. FSB grants each recipient a $500 grant to donate to a non-profit organization. To date, FSB has donated over $12,000 to the Spirit of the Seacoast program.
