Federal Savings Bank Opens New Branch in Downtown Rochester

Federal Savings Bank is pleased to announce the opening of its fifth branch, which is located in downtown Rochester. The office, located at 17 Wakefield Street, features many banking technologies that are the first to be introduced in the greater seacoast area as well as an experienced staff made up of leaders in the Rochester community.

The new office, which formerly housed the Grange Mutual Insurance Company, was completely renovated to include a full service drive-up, drive-up ATM and an interior design modeled after the ‘dialogue’ banking concept, which is designed to offer the most advanced, personalized banking services. The traditional teller line is eliminated and replaced with individual teller stations that provide additional privacy and allow the employee to easily and personally greet customers. Employees are cross-trained to perform teller transactions as well as guide a customer into a private office to open an account or apply for a loan.

“We believe banking is about relationships and creating a positive, customer experience,” according to FSB President & CEO, James J. O’Neill, Jr. “We’re thrilled to be the first bank in the seacoast to offer these new technologies. The dialogue-banking concept is efficient and is the best solution for offering truly personalized service. We are confident that our customers and the community will benefit from this new design,” he added.

In addition to the new teller stations, the branch also features three flat panel monitors, which inform customers of new bank products and specials as well as trivia, sports, news and weather updates. The lobby also includes an Internet kiosk that can easily be accessed by those customers wanting to perform transactions utilizing their Internet banking account. Two waiting areas and a coffee kiosk complete the lobby.

Mary Henderson, who will manage the new branch, brings over 20 years of banking experience to her new position. David Keefe, Vice President and Commercial Lender, has been assisting business owners in the Greater Rochester area for over 35 years. Together with Assistant Branch Manager Karen Barker, Retail Loan Officer Gibson Hearn and Customer Service Representatives Deb Cuthbertson, Tina Goulet and Rita Laurion, the Rochester team has already been busy developing new relationships in the community. The Bank opened a temporary business development office this past January and has experienced tremendous growth in the greater Rochester area. “We are thrilled with the reception from Rochester area individuals and business owners and we are confident that our significant investment in downtown Rochester will enhance the future growth of Federal Savings Bank,” said O’Neill.
